LESSONS
Group Lessons are hugely beneficial for all musicians. Take the tools and skills you learn in your private lessons, and use them to help learn how to play in a group setting with other like-minded musicians! All ensembles and group lessons are set up so students are matched with each other by similar age, ability and musical interests. Take your playing and musicianship to the next level by trying out a group lesson!
J R. V I R T U O S O S
Junior Virtuosos is the premier group class for your child to get a great introduction to all things music! Classes are designed to get children making music with others all while learning about the foundations of music. Students will learn how to sing and use their voices in a healthy way, acquire basic piano skills, get introduced to reading music notation, and so much more! Junior Virtuosos is a great way for younger students to creatively explore music, while older students can take on leadership opportunities and learn something new along the way. Junior Virtuosos is scheduled for 12-week sessions and concludes with an exciting short performance for friends and family on the final day of class!

PRE-k Music
If you have a young child at home who keeps tapping on the table, singing all day long, or banging on the pots and pans, then Pre-K Music is for them! Your aspiring young musician will learn the basics of rhythm, movement, reading music notation and most of all, music-making! Students will spend time singing different songs, exploring different families of instruments and playing music both individually and with a group. The final session will culminate with an exciting short “informance” for friends and family!

ROCKBAND PROGRAM
Rock Band at JSMS is the premier spot on the South Shore for young musicians that want to play music with other like-minded musicians. Start a band that has dedicated weekly rehearsals with one of our Rock Band coaches, learn cover songs, write your own music, how to promote your band and music, book shows, and play live gigs! Students are matched based on age, skill-level, and musical interests, all in an effort to make sure that potential band members are the best fit possible for each other.
