My son is loving his drum lessons. He has tried every sport, activity, and extracurricular under the sun and has never really taken to any of them. He also struggles with his confidence at times. Seeing him get up and perform at the recital with confidence was truly monumental. My son loves his lessons with Joe - his approach to teaching drums gets him excited every week and has also helped with building that confidence. It has made such a meaningful impact on my son. The recital was such a great event, and you could really see how much time, effort, and care went into preparing them.

Our child has been playing with Jesse since they were 10 and they are now 14! Over the years JSMS has shown them how to song write, how to be part of a rock, classical and jazz band, helped them prepare for district auditions, held fantastic percussion workshops, amazing showcases and found them great opportunities to play gigs. My eight year old daughter started singing lessons with Rachel at JSMS about six months ago. The first thing we noticed was just how warm and welcoming Jesse and Rachel are. My daughter is often shy and when she’s nervous she can shut down a bit. Rachel is able to make her feel safe and seen while pulling her out of her shell to learn and enjoy her lessons. I was shocked that after only a few months of lessons my daughter got up at open mic night and sang in front of people for the first time ever. She was confident and poised and sang the song she’d been practicing with Rachel and was so proud of herself. Not only did Rachel prepare her musically but she helped her feel like she could take that leap to put herself out there. My daughter sings at home every single day since starting her lessons and I hear the improvement in her skill and see the boost in her self confidence and it warms my heart.
