All JSMS students are paired with faculty members that will be a great match for their musical interests. Students can also attend masterclasses and workshops throughout the year to enhance their playing skills, as well perform in recitals twice per year.

Learn all instruments in the percussion family including drum set, snare drum, mallets, timpani, and world percussion from professional drummer and percussionists. 

V O I C E

Voice lessons are an awesome opportunity for anyone that wants to explore vocal technique and sound. Every voice student will learn vocal pedagogy, how to sing different genres, and basic music theory.

GUITAR

Whether you have interest in electric, acoustic or classical guitar, students will find the right fit for them while studying a vast array of musical styles including rock, blues, jazz, classical, and much more.

Piano lessons are a great way for any beginner musician to get started learning, practicing, and playing music. All students will be taught the foundations of piano while also learning different styles, genres, and techniques of playing.

Students have the opportunity to study Electric Bass and Upright Bass, and for any genre of music ranging from jazz, blues, rock, classical and more.

Ukulele

Ukulele is a great instrument to get started on for any level of musician! Whether you want to study privately or take part in a Ukulele ensemble, we can find the right fit for you at JSMS.

MUSIC AND PRODUCTION RECORDING

Music Production & Recording lessons are a great way to start exploring some of today’s current methods to create your own music! If students have a way to access a web browser, they can participate in these lessons - and if they don’t have regular access, they are welcome to our equipment during their lessons, making it very accessible to students of all levels.
